Nymph Stage of an Insect
- The immature form of hemimetabolous insects, such as a grasshopper, that do not pass through a pupal stage. Nymphs usually resemble adults, but are smaller and lack fully developed wings. This is the stage of the life cycle that hatches from the egg, and nymphs may molt several times to reach adulthood.
