Adhesion of Water
- The force of attraction that causes two different substances to join. Adhesion of water is when water stick to a surface, and this is what causes water to have surface tension. As a result of adhesion, water adheres to the inside of plant's tubes allowing it to spread out and rise up the tubes. This allows plants to transport dissolved substances and water throughout itself.
