Monocot with Flower and Leaf
- Any of a class of angiosperm plants that has a single cotyledon in the seed. Monocotyledons have leaves with parallel venation, flower parts in multiples of three (trimerous), and fibrous root systems. Their primary vascular bundles are scattered throughout the stem, and examples of monocots are grasses, palms, lilies, irises, and orchids.
